Local Lovernment of the XIII. District of Budapest
The tasks of the local government include town planning and development, protection of buildings and natural environment, housing management, maintenance of local roads and public lands and green areas, co-operation in the solving the problems of local unemployment; primary education, health and social warfare, child and juvenile care; support of art activities and sports; assuring the assertion of rights of national and ethnic minorities; establish the conditions of healthy way of life. In accordance with legal provisions, local governance in Budapest is managed in a special two-tier system.
